It was a very BUSY and FUN day yesterday at the Grey Bruce One World Festival at the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market! This year the theme was “belonging”. BBBSGB believes in working towards equity, diversity and inclusion in our community! We were so excited to be a part of this day and promoting such an important message.
Our craft involved kids tracing, colouring and cutting out their hand and placing their hand on our belonging tree.
Kids also wrote positive messages or sayings around belonging on their hand. Here are what a few said:
“You belong here.”
“Be you.”
“One world.”
“Be kind.”
“Be who you are, for your pride.”
“Don’t worry, be happy.”
“Love.”
“Everybody belongs.”
