Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce and Western Simcoe, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth, proudly announces the success of its 7th annual Golf Fore Kids’ Sake tournament held on Sat. Sept 23, 2023 at the picturesque Sauble Golf & Country Club. The event, which aimed to raise funds for no-cost youth mentoring programs, garnered overwhelming support from participants, sponsors, and the local community, resulting in a significant contribution to the organization’s initiatives.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of all involved, we are thrilled to reveal that the 7th annual Golf for Kids’ Sake tournament raised a total of $24 349.49, a sum that helps to ensure we’re continuing to create communities where young people belong and are empowered to unlock their potential.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our event sponsors, including the Power Workers’ Union, Scotia Wealth Management, and Beyond Reach Productions, whose support was instrumental in the tournament’s success. We also want to acknowledge the incredible support from 60 local businesses towards our day of experiences including contests, our silent auction and swag bags, we are constantly in awe of the generosity this community has. We want to give a big thank you to the volunteers from our program who came out, our Big and Little match who played and spoke at the event, our talented photographer Ed Matthews, and finally our fun loving MC, Paul Hil, from CFOS/Country93, you all truly took our event to the next level. And last but not least, thank you again to all the wonderful players! Registering your teams and showing up to support our local youth and families means the world to us!  We hope you all had as much fun as we did.  We are truly bigger together!

As we celebrate this achievement, we are reminded of the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together for a common purpose. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce and Western Simcoe remains committed to supporting local youth and will continue to work diligently to create positive change in our community.
